Certainly, this has been quite a year – the exposing of the hearts of many, the underbelly of America, racial injustice, and death and pestilence in the land. There has been a lot going on.
For my part, in response, I completed the census, donated to campaigns, voted and I continue to consistently pray for the nation, the leaders, and people and families all over.
However, every year around this time, I take time to reflect on my year and to consider the possibilities for the coming year.
Am I on track? What are my next steps?
In my quiet time, I have a practice of talking to Godand listening to see if I hear a response. So, over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been taking notes of what I hear in the spirit. I then review the notes to see what instructions have been given, ponder, research if necessary, and ultimately take action on the things that require action.
Also, sometimes I get nudges from things that are on my mind or the tip of my tongue when I wake up in the morning.
This is my process.
What About You . . . What’s Your Process?
For those of you who are business owners, I’m sure this time period has been quite an adjustment for you. If you don’t already have your business online, this is a great time to make the switch.
If you’re not a business owner, maybe you work a 9-5 or are thinking about starting a business. It’s a great time to assess where you are and what you need. Do you need to reinvent yourself? Do you need to acquire new skills? I talk a bit about this in my video. (2:00-3:15)
The point is, even with all that’s going on, take time to see about you. Make this time of year about you.
As always, keep self-care as part of your lifestyle, including intentional quiet time.
